A space to feel seen, heard and understood.
Warm, reflective and culturally aware counselling and psychotherapy, online and in person.
What does Samajhna mean?
“Samajhna” means understanding in Punjabi.
My practice is rooted in the idea of understanding, not only being understood by another person, but also developing a deeper understanding of yourself, your relationships, and the experiences that shape you.
Therapy can offer a space for reflection, clarity and meaningful change.
About Me
I’m Satwant Kaur, founder of Samajhna Therapy, offering counselling and psychotherapy online and in person in North London.
Many people come to therapy feeling overwhelmed, emotionally exhausted or disconnected from themselves. Sometimes this is linked to anxiety, relationships, family pressures, life transitions or difficult past experiences. At other times, people simply know that something does not feel quite right, even if they cannot fully explain why.
I understand that starting therapy can feel daunting, especially if you are used to carrying things on your own or find it difficult to speak openly about how you are feeling.
My aim is to offer a warm, thoughtful and supportive space where you can talk freely and begin to make sense of what you are experiencing, without judgement or pressure.
I believe that building a safe and trusting therapeutic relationship can help people develop greater self-understanding, process difficult experiences and find healthier ways of coping.
